On Saturday, June 10, 2017, the Benedictine Sisters along with family, staff, Oblates, and friends gathered at the Omega Retreat Center in Boerne, Texas to honor Sr. Sylvia for 50 years of Consecrated Life. Congratulations Sr. Sylvia on your Golden Jubilee!

On Wednesday, March 22nd, the Benedictine Sisters celebrated their 12th Annual Feast of St. Benedict Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction fundraiser at the Omega Retreat Center, located on their grounds in Boerne. Special thanks to all who attended, to all our sponsors and donors, and to the more than 60 volunteers who helped make this event a great success!

The Benedictine Sisters welcomed Archbishop Gustavo García-Siller, MSpS to their new St. Scholastica Monastery in Boerne on Sunday, October 23rd. The Archbishop blessed the new chapel during the celebration of the Eucharist. Concelebrants included Fr. Jonathan Felux, Msgr. Albert Hubertus, Msgr. John Wagner, Fr. Tony Cummins, and Fr. Norm Ermis. After Mass, the Archbishop blessed the Monastery offices and Sisters’ living spaces. Monastery co-ministers and special guests were also present at the event.

An Open House was held on Sunday, November 20th. Nearly 200 guests, including family, friends, Oblates, members from the St. Peter’s Parish Community, members from the Leadership Conference of Women Religious - Region 20, and benefactors came to see the new Monastery.
