A Blessing for 2021

Sister Frances Briseño, OSB
Prioress

The Benedictine Sisters wish you a healthy, hopeful, and holy New Year! Deuteronomy 28:3-9 invites us to reflect on the blessings that are ours as we walk faithfully with our God. The God who loves us, the God who protects us, the God who wants only our good, rejoices in us and blesses us. I invite you to read that blessing in Deuteronomy. The blessing we share with you is based on that one.

May God bless your world, your nation, your city, your neighborhood.

May God bless and protect your livelihood.

May God bless and provide nourishment and good health to you.

May God bless you and provide safety and calm in your home.

May God bless you as you enter your home and bless you as you go out.

May God bless you with patience and a loving response as you encounter difficult moments.

May God send you blessings on your work, your relationships and on everything you rest your hand on.

May the Lord God bless you in the sacred space provided for you in 2021.
