The Finance Assistant supports the organization’s financial operations by performing a variety of accounting, payroll, and administrative tasks under the direct supervision of the Director of Operations. This position is responsible for assisting with accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll preparation, banking activities, reconciliations, and sales tax reporting. The Finance Assistant also provides general financial and administrative support, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in all assigned financial processes. Must be comfortable working in a religious office environment with regular use of computers and office equipment. Occasional extended hours may be required during peak periods.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, or general accounting support preferred
- Working knowledge of accounting principles and financial record keeping
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills

Communications Coordinator (32 hours/week)
The Benedictine Sisters of Boerne seek a Communications Coordinator. This position, under the supervision of the Prioress and the Director of Operations, is responsible for implementing a comprehensive communications plan to advance the mission and day-to-day operations of the Benedictine Sisters.
Principle duties include, but are not limited to, coordinating internal and external communications, generating content for printed newsletters, e-newsletters, website, social media platforms (may include an occasional livestream), announcements, appeal letters, grant applications, fund raising campaigns, events, thank you letters and other donor communications, and articles and press releases for local newspaper and other media/venues.
The ideal candidate must be willing to work in a Christian environment and learn and respect Benedictine values and reflect those values in all communications.
Bachelor’s degree in communications preferred (or 3-5 years related work experience).
Strong organizational, planning, and creative thinking skills, and a strong attention to detail are necessary.
Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to edit various content.
Proven ability to relate and communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
Competency in MS Office.
Experience with Constant Contact, Panorama (or similar) donor database programs, WordPress, and Canva (or similar). Graphic design skills a plus.
Other related duties may be assigned by the Director of Operations or Prioress.
