All Saints Day and All Souls Day
On November 1 and 2 and throughout the month of November we will remember and celebrate the lives of those who have gone before us.
“The Souls of the just are in the hand of God and no torment shall touch them. They are at peace!” Wisdom 3:1
Dear Friends,
November 1 and 2, All Saints Day and All Souls Day, are two days of the Church Year when we gather to remember and celebrate the lives of those who have gone before us. We are especially sensitive to the many who have lost their lives to the coronavirus. We want to pray and celebrate the lives of those who reside in the sacred dwelling place prepared for them by God. We also pray for the family members left behind, weighed down with grief, loneliness, and sorrow.
We invite you to list the names of those you would like remembered. We will add the names of your loved ones in our Book of the Dead and place that book on the altar on All Saints Day and All Souls Day and pray for them by name.
After that, we will place the Book in a prominent place in our chapel to remember your loved ones daily through the month of November.
Most Sincerely,
Sister Frances Briseño, OSB
Prioress
