Monastic Congregation of St. Scholastica

St. Scholastica Monastery in Boerne, Texas is one of 17 Monasteries of Benedictine Women that comprise the Monastic Congregation of St. Scholastica. Established on February 25, 1922 (and formerly called the Federation of St. Scholastica), the group provides autonomous Monasteries with a great deal of support. Elected leaders promote unity among members, protect the canonical rights of the members, and act as a liaison between the Apostolic See and each Monastery.
